I wonder how many of you out there are like me. How many of you would enjoy more water sports if you didn’t have to wear (prescription) glasses?
If your answer is yes then this blog is for you. How many times have you tried to swim with your glasses? It doesn’t work too well, does it, especially when you have to put your head down into the water. The worst case is having your glasses fall off while you’re swimming. Otherwise, you can dog paddle your way with your head above water.
To the rescue - did you know they make prescription swimming goggles? They do. There’s a company that makes them for only $25 or less a pair. I will have a link for you on our site in case you’re interested. They don’t make the snorkel mask but I found another company that does for $125, a little more money but there’s more lens on a snorkel mask than in a little swimming goggle.
If you think that’s too much trouble, you can always stick to using contact lenses but make sure the goggle or mask fits around your face so no water seeps in. Optometrists will recommend that if you choose to wear contact lens to swim in, make sure you blink a lot. This keeps your eyes lubricated.
